This is a great desk lamp. It is probably about 1 1/2' tall when bent into shape. Nice amount of light, gives off a subtle blue tint around the room. Reliable and easy to turn on and off. Very nice. Also the organizer is useful for creating a bit more room. You can fit pencils and all sorts of other bits in the slots around the base. I believe it is not a halogen lamp because the shade doesn't ever get to hot to touch, which means less chance of unwanted fire.

This is a great little desk lamp. It lights up teh desk and the shade is a little translucent so it glows blue. The organizer base is a great feature! It saves valuable space on my kid's desk. I only wish the base was a little heavier or wider... sometimes it feels like it's going to tip over, but even then, that's only if the lamp is goosenecked over a lot. My kid likes to make the gooseneck into different spirals and shapes, so you could say that's another "novelty" feature.

This lamp is nice and has storage space at the base which is very useful. The switch is at the top of the lamp so you don't have to worry about the chord. I like that no matter how much time the light has been on, when you touch the lamp it is not very hot. It does make some noise when you move it to adjust the angle, but i'm ok with it. Overall, I am pleased with the lamp.
