Book Description

Genre: BDSM LGBT Contemporary Menage

Austin and Jay want a dom in their lives, but not a third person in their bed. When their dom moves away, replacing him turns out to be trickier than they’d thought and the two of them are getting desperate. Enter Liam, a friend of their former dom, deliciously sexy and stern, ready to spank them into shape -- and he's straight.

It’s all going so well, but can Liam separate his growing attraction to his two young subs from what they do during their sessions? And can Austin and Jay handle the discovery that Liam means more to them than he was ever supposed to?

With Austin’s younger sister April ready to do anything she can to make life difficult for the three men, is it going to be possible for Austin and Jay to prove to Liam that there’s room in their life -- and their bed -- for him?

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: BDSM theme and elements, male/male sexual practices, menage (m/m/m).

4.0 out of 5 stars Complex and interesting characters December 9, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I learned about this book on Amazon's erotica forum and decided to buy a book with no reviews. I was very happy with the suggestion and the purchase. This is a story of a committed and loving couple who both happen to be subs. They find that they must have an outlet for the submissive part of their personalities because they are miserable and frustrated without it.

This frustration leads them to a new dom who happens to be straight. The reader gets a chance to see so much through his eyes: the love that these subs have for each other and the complex nature of his feelings for them. The dominant within the story is well-developed and actually undergoes more emotional evolution than the submissives - WHICH I LOVE! So many stories in the D/s format are cookie-cutter and trite but not this one offers a fresh look at the emotional lives of its characters.

Note: there is absolutely no coercion in this story. All scenes (even the painful ones) are completely consensual and safe. A big plus for me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just wonderful September 6, 2012
By Beck
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a wonderful & wonderfully kinky book. The scenario us just so believable too. I would love to meet up with Liam, Austin & Jay for a coffee. I want to help build the dioramas & cuddle with Austin. They were all just so 'real' given the word-smithing of the author. Don't think that the characters were too perfect tho'. Jane gave them very human frailties which just added depth to a wonderful read. Can I just add, Jane has some seriously twisted kink in her psych. The BDSM scenes were so fresh & original. Not a St. Andrew's cross or spanking bench in sight but poor old Jay & Austin were tortured in wonderful ways. I would probably class this as moderate sugar-kink here but nothing too heavy either. I have read this book twice now & will read it many more times too. Highly recommended for lovers of gay-for-you, ménage, M/M romance/erotica and lovers of kinky duckery. Just wonderful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly Surprised August 3, 2012

I really enjoyed this book. The writing was solid and the story smooth. Austin and Jay made such a nice couple. I never questioned the strength of their relationship. Liam was a nice addition. He was able to give the boys just what they needed, and as things progressed, Liam received the same. By the end, I was very happy, but I really didn't want it to end. I would love to read more about how their relationship is progressing and dealing with inevitable issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just so awesome - in the little things that count! February 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Superb. Great writing - great personalities in the characters. A lovely exploration of what it means to fall in love outside what you think you are capable of and desire. The sub's relationship held strong - with outstanding communication and tolerance of the "little things" that so often can spell the e-n-d of a partnership. And Liam - how luscious was he? A Dom who knows how to be creative, use pain for pleasure, and how to talk you up the side of the mountain so that you are not afraid to go back down even though you hate heights? Yeah - it doesn't get any better. Loved it!

4.0 out of 5 stars 2 subs look for a dom, and find more than they expect December 15, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Jay and Austin are a perfectly sweet couple, almost too much so. They are both subs and know that they need someone to take the reins and give them some sharp edges once a week or so, so they can maintain their sweetness the rest of the time. Enter Liam, a straight Dom, who may be able to do it for them. I really enjoyed this book, I liked the dynamics between all the men, though Jay and Austin really did have too perfect a relationship, but I also enjoyed getting into Liam, the Dom's head, as well.

Mild spoiler here

My only problem was that the end seemed rushed, we spent so much time building up to it and I would have liked to see them as a functional threesome a bit longer. Also there was a piece of drama at the end which I didn't need and didn't feel added anything to the plot and would preferred that to be excised and the threesome allowed more space...

4961 locations, I read it in one day, it's an engrossing, easy to read book. I rate it a keeper and a reread.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good November 18, 2012

Room at the Top by Jane Davitt and Alexa Snow

Wonderful is the word that comes to mind to describe this story for me. Painful is the second followed by sometimes funny and ending with the words Thank You to the authors.

This story combined BDSM with a trio of men. Austin and Jay are a couple and are both subs in need of a Dom. Enter Liam who is a Dom and straight <wink> and he prefers to take on male subs.

Austin is lovable, protective and responsible, sometimes too much. He needs to be free of constant thinking and deciding. For him this can only be found in submitting to a Dom. Through pain he can let go of his worries and problems and release it all for a while. Ouch!

Jay is sweet and absent minded when he's reading or involved in building his dioramas. He's funny, loving and a go-along get-along guy who doesn't know when to be quite because he likes the reprisals...a lot. Jay welcomes the pain. Ouch! Ouch!

Liam is a reserved and commanding Brit who is 15yrs or so older than Austin and Jay, which means a bit set in his ways. Liam sees taking on the responsibility of two subs as a challenge. He has a dry sense of humor and he loves to dole out the pain in ways so creative I found myself sometimes cringing. On the rare occasion he exhibits his soft side I smiled and melted.

The story was well written and flowed smoothly from page to page. No skimming required and no skimping on pages. This was a full 23 chapters. A definite recommend and I'll be looking into more books by these authors.

Favorite lines:
"Breathe. If you pass out, your boyfriend will blame me, and I don't really think that's fair, do you?" Liam smiled

"Yes, I've been through this early stuff, as you put it. More than once.

Each of the characters were so different but unlike many in this genre, the author took the time to develop each character and allow you to connect.
