I put three rolls of this up around my son's room four weeks ago and it is not coming off at all. It can be troublesome putting it up as you peel the backing off, but that is also an advantage over prepasted where you are not dealing with the whole length at one time. I do still prefer prepasted though. The paint on the walls is semi-gloss latex and I painted it about 30 months ago, so no fresh paint or anything. It simply went up and stayed up, even when I had to peel back a length there and there to level it better. Not sure why some have problems with it sticking and the rest of us don't. I put it up with the stickers, some posters and am going to order the bumblee and optimus murals. I have not found the murals anywhere local, but the decals and border seem to be available at some of the bigger chain stores. I replaced my son's Disney Cars theme with this one.

This border is awesome. It was so simple to put up. I also loved knowing that if anything went wrong, it would just peel off to reapply.

My two sons love this border because they love transformers. It looks really good but it doesn't stick very well. I cleaned my walls and did everything I was supposed to do before putting it up, but it kept coming off. It was really aggravating. I finally had to put duct tape on the back of it so it can stay up. I was a bit disappointed with this product.
