This is an external rapid charger for Roomba batteries. Since failure of the charging circuit within Roombas is a common problem this is a way to keep your Roomba running after the failure. It does recharge the battery in about 3-4 hours.

It's great to have an additional battery ready for those big jobs. Just don't order it from Kooltron; they have the absolute worst service that I've ever experienced from any company.

If you own a Roomba, you probably need one of these. At some point you will probably notice the Roomba no longer charges its own battery. Or maybe you use yours for experimenting, so you need extra batteries topped off. Either way, this charger allows you to charge batteries outside of the Roomba itself. This will not overcharge them either, so it prolongs the life of your batteries. A weak link on many models of robot is that the charging circuit will fail but everything else still works. Don't throw away the entire robot, just buy one of these and keep going. I own three Roombas and this has allowed me to play around as well as keep them functional. Recommend for anyone with more than one battery, a Roomba with a bad charging circuit, or more than one robot. This is a heavy duty unit that actually works.

A must have for Roomba (4th generation & earlier) owners with 2 or more batteries. Helps to keep the second battery charged while Roomba is working. In addition, its also useful for conditioning old/new batteries, works better than the 72hr charge on Roomba itself.

A great saviour for those Roombas whose battery charging circuit failed them.

After reading some negative comments about the company (Kooltron) that makes/ships this product, I was a bit skeptical to order it. But my Roomba's charging circuit was dead and I had no way to charge the battery, so I bit the bullet and bought this charger. Delivery time was longer than I expected (about two and one half weeks), but the charger arrived in good condition.
I immediately plugged my Roomba battery into it and nothing happened! After some "fiddling", I accidentally pressed the battery very firmly into the charger and the "charging" light came on. Take the pressure off, light went out. Clearly the battery was not making good connection with the charger contacts. I got a large spring clamp and used it on the charger-battery combination and everything worked fine...battery charged in about 2:30. (Subsequently, I have purchased another battery and there are no problems with connection to the charger.)
I am satisfied with the charger, with Kooltron, and with Amazon on this purchase.

If you have a Roomba Vacuum and the internal charge circuits have failed this will keep your Roomba running. It is not nearly as much fun as having it go home to its dock and play the mission completed tune but it will charge the battery so that your beloved pet vacuum will still work for you. Possibly a practiced hacker could work out how to install the electronics from this unit into a failed Roomba. Not Me. Meanwhile Owsley (The Roomba) once again trundles about the house cleaning the floors and keeping the cats entertained and I do not have to pick up the broom!

If you have a Roomba, this product is a must have. I brought two Roomba batteries back from the dead -- even one battery I hadn't used in almost two years. I find the chargers on the Roomba start to fail after about a year but now that won't be a problem for me anymore because I can just use the rapid charge.

This worked even when the reset function on the Roomba didn't.

Easy fix for a bad charger circuit on the Roomba main board. Very handy when you have extra batteries to keep charged.
