Weathervane was just as I anticipated. Surprised that the arrow and rooster just sit on top and are not secured in some way. Satisfied with purchase.

I purchased a weathervane through Amazon. The review instructions suggest that this review should be "fun". What's fun about a weathervane? This one sits on top of a gazebo that I built and points into the wind, which is what it's supposed to do. It's black cast aluminum with a silhouette of a rooster on top, as advertised. Delivery was quick and it works. Whoopee.

Weathervane seems to be of good quality. The only hook: I was as surprised as another reviewer that the arrow with accent piece is not secured in any way, it just sits on the spike.
I needed this for a 24" cupola - the description made it seem like this was the right item. It is not. The dimension in the item description is the height of the item, including the articulating base in its collapsed, unusable position. The usable HOA is about 22", which is in the details section, but not specified. The arrow and feature portion is about 18" long. The seller of this item never handles the product; they handle the transaction and pass on your shipping info to the manufacturer, the item is then shipped factory direct to you. Apparently, the middle man wants nothing to do with the item now that I need to return it and asked to purchase a larger one. I've been exchanging correspondence for two weeks now, with the ultimate resolution of "Thank you for your patience in this matter. Unfortunately, I do not show that we carry a weathervane that is larger than this item. I have also sent this information to the manufacturer to see how they would like to handle this return. As soon as I receive a response I will notify you by e-mail.". That was 8 days ago. Good luck if you're not happy with your item. At least I can probably Craigslist this thing.
