From Chapter Rhymes and Jingles Peter, Peter pumpkin eater,
Had a wife and couldn't keep her.
He put her in a pumpkin shell
And there he kept her very well.
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.
Patty-cake, patty-cake, Baker's man,
Bake me a cake as fast as you can.
Roll it up and roll it up.
And put it in the pan.
Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider and sat down beside her
And frightened Miss Muffet away.
