Okay, so remixes tend to be a little repetitive. However, B-sides and Import singles are fun to hear and to get. I Love "Tear Fool", the opening track on the album. "Blame" the 8th track sounds like old Depeche Mode to me, with Jimmy singing in his "full voice"... The last track "Moving On" reminds me of his days with The Communards. It's very European, with an I'm oh so sad but optimistic kind of feel. All in all, it was worth the purchase although I'm rarely disappointed by Mr. Somerville...

being a fan of bronski beat i decided to buy this ep. i thought it had some good rare songs and some nice remixes too. if you like upbeat kind of songs and bronski beat. pick up a copy of Root Beer by Jimmy Somerville.

this cd is somewhat of a mixed blessing. the remixes are ok but nothing great. however it is worth getting because of the previously unreleased "tear fool" and "believe" - excellent examples of what somerville does best : danceable songs with memorable hooks and melodies. i would recommend this cd to any fans of jimmy somerville. for newcomers i would recommend "manage the damage" or "dare to love" instead.
