Contemporary Essays by California Writers, April 7, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Roots and Branches: Contemporary Essays by West Coast Writers (Paperback)
With typical Californian conceit, this collection excludes the Pacific Northwest almost entirely. For example, there are no essays by Oregon writers, and only a handful from anyone not living in San Fransisco or LA. The editor need to cast his net a bit more broadly if he hoped to caputre any "west coast-ness" that hopes to be at all inclusive.

Junker offers JUNK, April 20, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Roots and Branches: Contemporary Essays by West Coast Writers (Paperback)
While Junker usually has his eyes and ears out for 'good' West Coast Writers, his eyes are cloudy and his ears full of wax on this offering.
