Norton Buffalo and Roy Rogers once again team up for their brand of delta style root music. This Northern California duo seems to compliment each other in both vocal and musical harmonics. The disc consists of 13 originals comprised of 2 instrumentals and the vocal duties split equally with Buffalo singing the lead on 6 tracks and Rogers on 5 of the tracks. The acoustic duo doesn't break any new ground on this disc but their consistent roots style of music will be welcome listening to their fans.

Check out the YouTube videos of these guys. Roy Rogers is a great guitar player. The late Norton Buffalo was a fine vocalist and harmonica player. The evidence is there.

The music on this disk was well-produced and performed masterfully. The compositions on this disk, however, didn't appeal to me. The themes did not resonate emotionally, and I found the lyrics to be awkward, stilted almost. I was disappointed.

Now I fully understand that my reaction to the disk might say as much about my taste as it does about the music, yet I really wanted to like this but found I couldn't. Sadly, I can't rate it at more than two stars.
