The Roots are the greatest live performing act in contemporary Hip Hop. It is such a pleasure to witness a Hip Hop beat being produced with live acoustics and sheer skill and not behind a sterilised studio. I would imagine that's why the group has such an authentic cross appeal. 'The Roots Present' succeeds in bringing out this ability to entertain through live performance in full force. This video is certainly a worthwhile addition to one's DVD collection. Enjoy.

If you love The Roots like i do, You'll love this DVD. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because of wack performances by Mobb Deep & Young Gunz.

If you are a fan of the Roots live shows don't buy this rather use amazon prime to watch free. The performances are not the greatest and the Roots did not support this when it came out. Mine went in the trash years ago and I am sure your will also.
