An outstanding collection, the first of three volumes,
This review is from: Roots of Reggae V.1 (Audio CD)
This is volume one of an outstanding three-volume CD collection of early reggae, licensed for UK release from Trojan. The second and third volumes in the collection appear to have been pulled from the market (no sign of them listed on Amazon USA or UK, but they sometimes turn up on eB*y) - possibly this was done in favour of the later Trojan boxed sets? These three volumes are a superb collection of tunes, and endlessly listenable. Volume 3 is my favourite. Highly recommended as a starting point for those seriously exploring early reggae for the first-time.
