A good blend of ethnic mixes....,

This an amazing CD considering this artist wrote it, produced it, played most of the instruments on the CD and sang on most of the tracks as well. On top of it, it's his first CD! The production value is really high, and all of the songs are well written. The CD stands out as almost a mix of various artists- some songs are pop driven(the first track roots, as well as goodbye my soul) and others reggae(trippin). Most are are blend of electronica and south asian rhythms with occasional vocals. All of the tracks are good- I especially like the tracks with the female vocals(what a voice!) and the track filter, which has a really unique vibe, with strong vocals. I like the fact none of the songs become "background music." Each song has its own unique structure and sound; none of the songs are boring. Overall, I highly recommend this CD to anyone who is looking for high quality original music- the sheer variety and scope of the songs will surprise you!

Nothing beats music that doesn't QUITE fit into a particular genre. This stuff will do it for you if you like anything from trip-hop to world beat, lounge music to funk. It's cool, sometimes danceable, and totally unique. Definitely GREAT mood music! Renews my passionate interest in music and buying CDs from new artists.

Very impressive CD! There are many layers and textures to this eclectic ethno-techno mix. There is a song for everyone on this CD. I haven't heard anything like this before...and I've heard a lot.

fresh, new addition to the asian massive genre,

this is as fabulous as the other reviewers say. it's almost generally likeable, though if you have a background with talvin, nitin, and karsh you'd appreciate it more ;-). rohan is unlike these and other asian massive artists. he has his own sound.i really liked sharaab's infusion but that pales in comparison to this, as far as production value. this is an amazing first effort. true artistry. go out and buy it without thinking or even listening to it! |
