Product Description

The Rope King SBN-12300 solid braided nylon rope is a nylon rope that is solid braided, measures 1/2" in diameter by 300' long, and is suitable for use in a wide variety of applications, including recreation, home, boating, pulleys, and automotive. Nylon rope resists abrasion and stretches to absorb shock from vibrations. The solid braided construction helps the rope hold its round shape under pressure and load, making it useful in pulleys and winches. It cannot be unraveled, even when cut. This rope is white in color.

Fibrous ropes used for pulling and lifting are made of natural and/or synthetic fiber strands. A combination of characteristics, including material, construction, diameter, length, and breaking strength, give each rope its performance capability. Fibrous rope materials are selected for properties such as strength, flotation, elasticity, and resistance to abrasion, ultraviolet light, and chemical compounds. In solid braided rope, strands alternate between forming the outside of the rope and the interior of the rope. Solid braided rope tends to hold its round shape under pressure and load, making it useful in pulleys and winches. This type of rope is sturdy but not suitable for splicing. The breaking strength for fibrous rope is the strength at which new rope will fail under a stationary load. Breaking strength is not considered safe working load (SWL) limit.

Rope King USA manufactures a variety of ropes for industrial, mechanical, marine, and household purposes. The company, founded in 2008, is headquartered in Solon, OH.

This rope is exactly what I was looking for for use around camp (it is far too heavy for backpacking). I needed something to hang a hammock, support a tarp, and use for a clothesline and this rope definitely works. My only issue is with the packaging which allowed both ends of the reel to break off, rendering it useless as a way to unspool the rope. As usual, though, an email to Amazon customer service resulted in an immediate adjustment. I donated the rope to a local charity (let <them> untangle 300 feet of line) and will order another spool when it is back in stock.

We use this for our tree swings. I wanted 3/4 but this was the only solid braided nylon I could find on amazon. I'd prefer solid braided polyesther really, more like climbing or logging rope, but this works. The length and price were great. We've got massive trees on our property and used this to put up roughly 8 different types of tree swings.

The only warning I'd give on it is that, since it's white, and our dirt is black, the rope quickly looks dirty from little hands holding on. But otherwise, it works.

Oh, I am able to cut it with scissors and burn the end, but it's tedious-be forewarned. I'd love to have a hot knife tool to cut it, but I don't. That being the case, just beware of that it's a little extra effort when you cut the end to get it burnt so the frays don't keep on unraveling the rope end.

Rope is good, but first several feet were damaged. I cut about 12' off to remove the frayed section and then roughly measured the length which came in at 270' and 282' with cut section. Great price and length still works for me.

Using subject rope for tree dropping and removal. Rope has excellent strength and works well with
directional pulleys. Improves safety by using truck to provide energy to pull tree down without
fully cutting trunk.

I didn't expect the rope to be cut half way through the spool. This made it difficult to complete my project.

We got exactly what we ordered within 3 days of purchase. We use the rope for our boat anchors and have already put it to the test, and it worked great! It's nice to get what you expected in such a timely manner.

RIP OFF! False advertising! They sent me two pieces of rope! 250 feet and 50 feet. What a RIP OFF! I could not use it for my application. I hauled it 5 miles into the woods on foot. Now I should haul it back? And pay to send it back to vendor? I wanted a single 300 foot strand to fit through a pulley. Do they expect me to spice the pieces together? I suppose they would feel justified sending out ten pieces of 30 feet each. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!

Using this rope for a block and tackle pulley system the rope is limp does not twist does not tangle and as it is solid holds it's shape which is perfect for my application. If you want stiff this isn't it. I don't use it but the packaging was great too. Great buy IMO.
