More About the Author

Christopher Scott - Some of us know what we want out of life from an early age. Some of us will go to our graves never having figured it out. I came close. It took me until age fifty to finally realize what I wanted most, and that was to be a writer.
I started out blogging, but eventually came to the realization that even though I enjoyed it, I wanted to do more than write down my thoughts for the day. I wanted to write fiction. Yes sir, I had stories to tell. In fact, I even knew the type of stories I wanted to write, I wanted to write westerns.
But that wasn't all I had come to realize. Along with writing, I also wanted to help revive the western genre by helping other western writers promote their work.
So I started a website called Rope and Wire. (ropeandwire.com) That was six years ago. My website is currently the number one western short story website on the big three, Google, Yahoo and Bing search engines.
I've recently started a new series of eBooks, or what I call ePulps. These ePulps are based on the old western pulps of the early to mid 1900's. The ePulp is called "Rope and Wire Western Short Stories" and can be found on Amazon.com.
I'm not stopping with ePulps. My first full length novel will be out shortly.

I've been a reader of the website "Rope and Wire" for a year now. When I found this collection of western short stories written by one of its members I decided to check it out. At $1.49 Kindle I couldn't lose. Well, I certainly got more than my money's worth and plenty of laughs, smirks, smiles, and grimaces along the way as I read these stories. Christopher does a great job of painting vivid pictures of his characters and settings in an easy-going traditional western way; with some surprisingly not so typical endings.

I don't read much anymore, and normally don't read westerns, but I found this book of short stories to be very enjoyable. I especially enjoyed TheVixen. An interesting tale with a surprise ending. Well they all seem to have surprise endings. So if you love westerns or haven't partaken of one, now is the time to check them out. And the price is great!
