What a delightful shoe! Smooth, elegant, well-made, padded sole for comfort, feminine version of an oxford. I ordered the brown which is almost an espresso ..... a beautifully rich, dark brown.

Shipped in excellent, protective packaging. The end of the box has a place to insert a card describing the box contents. My shoe repair guy says shoes should be kept in the box along with the silicate packet for long-lasting care.

I find the Hommerson oxfords runs just a tiny tad narrower than some other brands and that fits my foot just fine. I wear lightweight or trouser sox with these shoes.

The leather is soft but holds its shape; I think most people will need bandaids on their achilles area until that section of the shoe's leather "breaks in."
