If you can only buy one album of Brazilian rock this would be the one to get.
It is so full of energy, style and hard hitting emotion that you just can't go wrong.
This album is chalked full of good songs, unlike most albums that have maybe one or two good one and a lot of filler.
200 Volts, Rosa e vinho tinto, a sua maneira, and olhos vermelhos are all good. The only one I don't get to excited about is the Spanish version of song originally in Portuguese and only this album.

I've got albums by Legiâo Urbana, Barâo Vermelho, Titâs, Engenheiros da Havaí, Lulu Santos, Skank, and RPM and I almost always go back to these guys when I'm in the mood for some good rock.

They Just Rock

5.0 out of 5 stars One Hot Brasilian Rock act, March 4, 2007

This is one powerful Brazilian rock album.
The first couple of songs (220 volts, a sua maneira, como devia estar) are just power houses.
Even though this album was made in the late 90's/ turn of the century it harks back to the brazilian rock of the early 80's coming from the likes of Legiao Urbana, Engenheiros da Havaii, Barao Vermelho, etc.

Several of the musicians in this band were connected to or part of one of Brasil's original punk bands 'Aborto Electrico'. This album retains that style when rock was needing to come out of it deep sleep of extended solos and orchestration. These songs are all short, sweet and overloaded with energy.

You will not be disappointed with this album. If you want to get one Brasil rock ablum this is definately the one to get. Loaded with hit after hit. Not like yourt typical album where one or two songs stand out and the rest seem to be filler. Well worth the money.

Oddly even though I don't generally like the spanish versions done by many Brazilian artists I do find the spanish version of 'a sua maneira' kind of catchy.
