St Athanasius Press Presents:

The Holy Rosary with Meditations/Mysteries inserted into the Hail Mary's
by Rev Joseph Deharbe, S.J.
1863

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost

I believe in God, etc (Apostle's Creed)

One Our Father, who art in Heaven, ...etc.

Three Hail Mary's in the following way:

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus; may He increase our faith! Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus; may He strengthen our hope! Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus; may He inflame our love! Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

Glory be to the Father, etc.

I. The Joyful Mysteries

Now instead of announcing the mystery before the Our Father, the mystery is repeated with each Hail Mary. For example:

Our Father, etc.

1st Decade:

1 Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus; whom thou, O Virgin, didst conceive of the Holy Ghost. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

2 Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus; whom thou, O Virgin, didst conceive of the Holy Ghost. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.

5.0 out of 5 stars Different way to pray Rosary November 30, 2012

Use this on my Kindle and it is a great way to say my rosary anywhere.
It is a little different than the traditional rosary praying but sort of nice for
something a little different.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reason Not All Mysteries Are There November 2, 2012
In 1863 when this book was written there were only 15 mysteries divided into Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious. The other five, The Illuminati, were not added until late 20th century by Pope John Paul II. Correct me if that is wrong. It may have been Paul VI.

The mysteries are not complete, this is an outdated listing of the mysteries. No explanation or reading of each mystery makes it even worse. Please take it off the list. sham...

This book is exactly what I was looking for! I wanted to pray the Rosary while I was driving in the car. With this book, I can turn my Kindle on to read to me. Now I can pray the Rosary on my way to work.
