Book Description

Two men want Kat Summers. One wants to have her like he had her sister who ended up dead. The other wants to love and protect her. A woman's unrelenting search for the truth about her sister's death, and the danger that follows.

Ever since the untimely death of her sister, Brianna, strange phone calls and ghostly visions have haunted Kat Summers. Weary and grief-stricken, she returns to the sleepy town of Rosswood to dispose of Brianna’s property and to gain closure. Instead of the relief she seeks, she uncovers disturbing secrets about Brianna’s life and encounters suspicious characters that cause her to question Brianna’s alleged suicide. On a quest for answers, Kat confides in Chance Eliason, a rancher with secrets of his own, who has more than a passing interest in Kat. Can Chance convince this fiercely independent woman to open her heart again before the truth about Brianna leads Kat into an unexpected trap?

ROSE FROM THE GRAVE is a tale of mystery, romance, suspense, and the supernatural bond between sisters. It is also a story about letting go of grief and fear and accepting the gift of love.

A NOTE TO THE READER: The characters from Visions of Hope reappear in Tangled Affairs, sequel to Rose from the Grave. Therefore, Visions of Hope may want to be read before Rose from the Grave.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story July 4, 2013

I liked this book - lots of mystery and character development. Some loose ends were left at the end, which is something I don't like, but the main story lines were dealt with effectively. Overall, a good book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book! March 31, 2013

I did like the book but I did not love it! There were a whole lot of strange things going on and it did keep my attention. I figured out most of it way before it unfolded. Maybe that's why I didn't love it. It was pretty good though! Yes, I would recommend it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining...spooky page turner March 31, 2012

"Rose from the Grave" is a great, fun read. Well crafted characters with a page turner plot in a believable small town setting. Some of it has that smokey, spooky, 'round the campfire feel to it. Good winter night or beach blanket reading. I'm not normally a "romance" reader, but good writing has no genre. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Candace Murrow primarily writes complex women's fiction that may include elements of romance, mystery, suspense, or the paranormal. Besides women's fiction, she has written a collection of short stories (for adults), and a short, sweet fantasy/adventure novel intended for the younger reader. All of her books share one thing in common: they are all written from the heart.
