The FDA allows this exemption because no "naturally occurring" porcine (pig) spongiform encephalopathy has ever been found.

They will smell the brains and devour these instead of continue chasing you to eat your brains.

This is a wonderful product for those making a survival kit for surviving a zombie apocalypse. First off, it's canned brains. Being chased by zombies? Pop open a can, and leave on the ground. They will smell the brains and devour these instead of continue chasing you to eat your brains. One can then run away, or if one has a ranged weapon like a firearm or bow can then run a bit, turn around and kill said zombie. Of course, one can always eat these if one is desperate. Or if one IS a zombie but still retains enough intellect to open canned goods. The cans are small and compact, so keeping a few in a kit as zombie bait and/or emergency food is..pardon the pun, just a no brainer!

I know Amazon won't like me saying this, but: I am now ordering these from the distributor for about $2.50 per can(shipping included) for a 12-pack, as opposed to the $6.24 per can price here. The 12-pack only costs 20% more than this 4-pack.

Having said that, I was scared to eat them, but they are actually not bad. I rinse the milk off by pouring them into a strainer and running tap water over them. Fry them until they are almost crispy, then add a sliced shallot, fry till the shallots are done, add 3 scrambled eggs, cook until done.

A bit of sriracha sauce makes a fork-full quite a pleasant experience.

I love this!!! In my home state the stores sell this. My father used to make Pork Brains & Eggs for breakfast. With toast and apple butter. The only disheartening part is the Price on Amazon. I could see if this was a case but only 4 cans??? For Shame. Off to find a better deal online.

We ordered this pig brain to eat with eggs for breakfast because my mom has Multiple Sclerosis. According to some research eating pig brain can restore some of the damage that MS does to your brain. We're hopeful and she will continue ordering this!

Delicious. I love to add them as extra protein to yogurt smoothies. They're yummy mixed with scrambled eggs, tuna salad, or as a topping on pizza. They also taste great plain right out of the can when you're on the go. My cat likes them too.

Just what the doctor ordered. Not really but they are supposed to help people with MS. We will see how that works out. They are good mixed with other foods and even not bad straight out of the can with crackers.
