I can not adequately describe the brilliance of this CD! I first discovered these tracks when Bet Williams opened for another artist I went to see in a club. It was Bet, a barefoot drummer, and a stand up bass. The songs grabbed me-- hook, line, and sinker. I bought the CD that night and from it's first play, Rose Tattoo bumped all the other "top" female vocalists right out of my player. What a RANGE! Not only vocally-- but also in range of style. Is it rock, soul or folk? Perhaps, the best of each. The lyrics and music are fun, driving and pensive all at the same time. The arrangements are all top shelf. Get the CD and go see the artist. There is A LOT more to discover. Start with Rose Tattoo and then check out her combined effort with John Hodian. You, too, will be hooked!
