Book Description

Roseanne Dowell's Special Edition published by Books We Love features three novels.

Time to Love Again
The man next door, his granddaughter, and her sister’s ghost help bring Rose Asbury out of her seclusion. Fifty-eight year old, Rose Asbury knows people think she’s a recluse, but she doesn’t care. She just wants to be left alone. She doesn’t need anyone and no one needs her and that’s just fine. At least she didn’t until this year. For some reason this year is different. Suddenly, she’s melancholy and discontent with her life.

And the man next door doesn’t help matters. He insists on speaking to her. So her stomach tumbles every time she sees him, that doesn’t mean anything. Hunger pangs, nerves, she just wishes he’d leave her alone. Or does she? To top it all off, his granddaughter and her friends insist on playing in her yard, sledding, building snowmen and throwing snowballs at her house. Then her sister’s ghost shows up and Rose’s life changes drastically.

Shadows In The Attic
Imagine finding a hidden room, complete with furniture, a trunk, diary and shadows. Author, Anna Hughes couldn't wait to finish her attic room. Did the shadows hold the secret to why the room was sealed?

Designed for Love
Fate, kismet, or whatever you want to call it is, it turned Interior Designer, Wendy Seidel’s world upside down. From a chance meeting at the airport to Florida and back to Ohio, she can’t believe the strange circumstances that throw her and Bill Johnson together, after he literally knocks her off her feet at the airport.

5.0 out of 5 stars Roseanne Dowell Has the Romance/Mystery Touch September 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Man, I am stocking up. Roseanne Dowell, a writer who can give Nora Roberts a run for her money, has three of her stories being offered for one price. Like Roberts, Dowell has a way of combining just the right amount of romance and intrigue to keep the reader wondering if love will survive amid what's happening. Then you get the great mystery part of it: What is going on? Who is doing all of this? Where will it all end? I haven't guessed the culprit yet in any of them. Such fun!

5.0 out of 5 stars Down to Earth Reality October 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
What I love most about Ms. Dowell's writing is the way she makes her characters down-to-earth and relatable. I haven't read one of her books in which I couldn't step into the heroine's shoes and live the story. I love her paraphrasing because I've never been fond of internal thoughts because the tense change draws me out of the story, so she's definitely my cup of tea. Her stories are so varied, there's something for everyone to enjoy, and what more could you want than three in one book. Hours of guaranteed entertainment for you or as a gift for someone this holiday. The price is right, that's for sure.

I got this trilogy when it was free on Amazon, so I hesitate to complain. However, I was disappointed to find so many grammatical errors in a story by a "Multi-published author", and former writing instructor. For example:
"went to their perspective rooms" (instead of respective).
"I'd never gave a man a chance." (instead of given).
affect (instead of effect).
frequent misuse of lie, lay, laid, etc.

Still good reading, and I recommend this author.

More About the Author

Roseanne grew up reading Nancy Drew mysteries and soon moved on to Victoria Holt and Phyllis Whitney. She's also a big fan of Agatha Christie and Nora Roberts, and always loved making up her own stories and writing.
While working as a school secretary, her fellow employees encouraged her to take a correspondence course, writing for children. It didn't take long to realize it took someone special to write children's books. That's when she moved on to romance novels. Her stories sat in the attic with her poems and journals for years.
In 2002 at a Book Club meeting, she confessed her regret at not pursuing a writing career. That's all it took. They convinced her it wasn't too late. After giving it some thought, she decided to take another writing course, writing for adults this time. Within a few months, her first article was published in Good Old Days Magazine. Since then, she's had articles published in several magazines.
Roseanne's first book, Satin Sheets, was published 2006. Since then, she's decided to go the way of E-books. Roseanne writes various types of romance - paranormal, contemporary and mystery. Her heroines range from early twenties to late seventies. Yes, seniors need love, too.
Roseanne lives with her husband of fifty years, has six grown children, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchild. Between writing, quilting, and embroidering, she also enjoys blogging, tweeting, facebooking, and posting on various writers' groups. Her favorite time is spent with her family.
Roseanne participates in Kindlegraph, so if you'd like an autograph for an ebook, go to her page at: to request it.
