Having lived in Roseto all of my life, I had long heard of the heart disease study, done in the early 1960's by Drs. Bruhn and Wolf, but never actually seen the book. As soon as I found it available for sale on Amazon, I grabbed it up. It was worth the price just to read, with pride, about the history of my little town and its humble Italian settlers. The rest of the book is full of statistics and case studies which show that a community steeped in love and friendship are more important to heart health than diet and exercise.
If you have ever heard of Roseto, please do yourself a favor, buy this book! You won't regret it! |
