Version 3 far superior to version 2,

...and I thought Version 2 was great! Version 3 is far more interactive, far more well constructed, much easier for beginning students to learn Mandarin. Plus, BIG TYPE, for those of us over age 40 students with failing eyes. I highly recommend this product!!! By the way, I am 53, and have been studying Mandarin for 2 years and doing very well. So don't let anyone tell you, you can't learn a new language over a certain age! Thank you Rosetta Stone!

Very nice product the speech recognition seems to be very good.
The content is also top notch and I'm learning very fast. Possibly one day they could improve on the writing section as you have to enter pinyin characters instead of actually drawing the chinese characters. The only other issues so far are after a few lessons often the screen will hang and I need to restart the software. Also, when using simplifed chinese mode after a while it switches back to pinyin and seems to get stuck and can't revert back to simplifed characters. Restarting also fixes this. Other than that its a very good product. |
