Rosetta Stone V3: Chinese (Mandarin)  Level 2 with Audio Companion [OLD VERSION]

If you install this more than once, you have to call Rosetta Stone support and ask them to let you reinstall it. Even on the same computer. If your hard drives crashes and you need to reinstall - gotta call Rosetta Stone. If you replace your computer with a new one - you got it, gotta call Rosetta Stone. If the software randomly deactivates itself - you've gotta call Rosetta Stone.

Worse: after a certain number of "activation resets," Rosetta Stone will STOP RESETTING IT. They'll accuse you of trying to pirate it and say they won't reset it anymore. So your 360$ program is now a coaster. I am currently pursuing this in small claims court.

If you ACTUALLY pirate it, you never have to call support, never have to activate or anything - it just works. Excellent anti-piracy protection there, RS - you're only pissing off people who make the mistake of giving you money.

If you are interested in learning a new language fast and easy, Rosetta Stone is hands down the best program out there. My husband and I have completed Level One and are part way through Level Two. We are able to carry on basic conversations with our friend in China and read most of the letters he sends us. He was very impressed with the accuracy of our tones as a lot of software out there doesn't do a very good job with it.

As for the other reviewer having problems with the program, we have never had any trouble. Never a need to reinstall or call Rosetta Stone.
