I got this for my 8 year old daughter to learn Persian. I know Persian fluently and am able to help her. However the program is very flawed. It makes her guess at everything. I got this for my 8 year old daughter to learn Persian. I know Persian fluently and am able to help her. However the program is very flawed. It makes her guess at everything. The writings are in Persian script which makes no sense when an English speaker wants to learn it. For crying out loud if she knew how to write Farsi she would not be needing Rosetta Stone would she?

I phoned their customer support to see if there is any way to get the writing to be in English script. They said "no". The support person was not very knowledgeable and was obviously reading a pre written script.

The licensing is also very obnoxious as you need to do a "call home" thing just to activate it. Then you get 2 machines. To move it from an old computer to a new one is a major hassle.

On the whole I am not impresses. Unfortunately there are not many other Persian learning products out there.

Although you could certainly get by without these things, they will absolutely accelerate your learning- in particular, the alphabet guide.

Good luck!
