I don't learn like a child,

I actually bought this for my son-in-law who had lived in Brazil and was trying to keep from losing his Portuguese. It might be just right for him. I had tried Rosetta Stone before for Chinese, and their vaunted absence of explanation drove me crazy. Maybe 6-year-olds pick up language that way, but this 50+ needs a map. I ended up googling for explanations of Chinese tones and found some free ones that helped much more than this. I may learn differently than others--and this might be great for the "refreshing" my son-in-law wants--but I would never buy Rosetta Stone for me (or for any adult learning a new language).
