5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful reference guide without the bulk/easy to use
Now that I own a computer and can see the items on e-bay, this guide is helpful in finding price ranges. I can now bid with confidence. It's a wonderful, compact guide that you can take with you to antique shops, auctions and keep in your car. Mr Jenkins even signs his books. If you don't have this guide yet, get one!

2.0 out of 5 stars Definitely not for the beginning Roseville collector!
There are no pictures of the different lines of Roseville. If you don't know the difference in appearance between white rose, clematis, futura, vista forest, etc., you're out of luck. I also thought the book was way too expensive for the quality and size.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Guide on Roseville Pottery Patterns and Prices!, June 18, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Roseville Art Pottery 1999 1/2 Price Guide Vol III (Paperback)
This booklet on Roseville Pottery by Jim Jenkins gives a great detailed listing of all the patterns, shape numbers and descriptions of the pieces that were produced by the Roseville Pottery Company. Also it gives a price guide based on three catagories...low line, action line and mint line, which is important because every piece of Roseville is different as to color, mold and detail, and should be priced as such. This Roseville Art Pottery Price Guide is a "must have" for all Roseville lovers and collectors.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the most helpful priceguide especially for beginners, June 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Roseville Art Pottery 1999 1/2 Price Guide Vol III (Paperback)
I have learned so much, especially with the interviews and could quickly see all the hard work that had gone into this price guide. I would call it a price guide, but it is so much more than that. It has helped me a great deal and I appreciate all the hard work and research that went into this. Thank you Jim Jenkins for helping others when Roseville needs an expert. I give this book five stars and would give more if I could.

5.0 out of 5 stars very informative, June 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Roseville Art Pottery 1999 1/2 Price Guide Vol III (Paperback)
I have been collecting roseville now for about 3 years and have used a variety of price guides out there on the market. However, I have found this price guide to be very informative and accurate as compared to the others that I have read. I would highly recommend it to not only tothe serious Roseville collector but also to the beginner out there that is just starting out. You will not be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best Roseville Pottery Price Guide/infomation out there., May 6, 1999

Mr. Frog (New Mexico, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Roseville Art Pottery 1999 1/2 Price Guide Vol III (Paperback)
Jim Jenkins has put together one of the best Roseville Pottery Price guides and informational books together. The first half of his books are about Roseville Pottery and the people who made it. Plus new informantion about Roseville lines from 60 to 80 years ago. The 2nd half of Jim's book is where all of the new shapes come into play. Jim does a lot of reach into each of the old lines of Roseville pottery (Middle period). He tracks down new shapes and numbers to old Roseville pieces that have never been shown or listed in a lot of the books that have came out in the past 25 years about Roseville Pottery. This is a book that needs to be in every Roseville collectors hands, Jim is finding more and more new Roseville shapes each year, for all of us to go after...... to add to our collections. Mr. Frog

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality Guide to Roseville Pottery, April 26, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Roseville Art Pottery 1999 1/2 Price Guide Vol III (Paperback)
The Roseville Art Pottery 1999 1/2 Price Guide offers collectors a high quality volume that is easy to translate and use. Of particular interest will be the explanation of the Vista line which was in production about 1915. The interview with Mr. David Rago is very informative and encourages the casual collector to become better educated in their knowledge of this fine art. The hand painted pictures are inspiring. I believe that anyone reading this guide would enjoy the personal touch and the extensive time that the author has given to detail.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE MOST WONDERFUL PRICE GUIDE ON THE MARKET, April 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Roseville Art Pottery 1999 1/2 Price Guide Vol III (Paperback)
This is a ROSEVILLE pocket price guide that not only has the "current" prices, but also has color photos of different lines. One can only imagine the time that went into this book. I have been collecting for many years and thought I knew Roseville Pottery and I do, but this book has taught me that no one will ever know everything. There are things in the guide that I have never heard of. This is more than a price guide and I would recomend this book to every Roseville dealer or collector, and finally there is no need to buy the other guides that are always the same, because as you know different lines go up and this guide expresses that. I rate this pocket guide a 5 STAR, AND ALSO A MUST TO EVERY COLLECTOR.
