Using device in home office with 2 Vista PCs. After a minute or so of things working properly, the keyboard and mouse will stop responding for a few seconds. The time that they stop responding gets longer and longer, and within 5 or 6 minutes, they don't respond at all. I have to disconnect the usb cables that go from the switch to the back of my PC, which kills the power the kvm switch, and reconnect them to get the KB and mouse responding. Then the process starts again, so in reality, I can't use this and it has been a wasted purchase. I have a wired (USB) Logitech Wave KB, and a wired mouse, nothing fancy. Contacted Rosewill, not expecting to hear back.
Overall, when the 2 PCs were running, the switching between them worked well, but if after 5 minutes or so, you lose the ability to communicate with them, then that sort of makes this product pretty useless.

UPDATE: Rosewill eventually responded to my email with instructions for disabling mouse/keyboard emulation. Once emulation had been disabled, the product works as expected. For others that may have the same issue:
Scroll Lock + Scroll Lock (the scroll lock light starts blinking on my keyboard) then M + Enter. Shut down the computer, unplug cables and wait at least 20 seconds before reinstalling.
Changed my rating from 2 to 4 stars, because they provide a sheet with troubleshooting, only about 4 items on it, but disabling emulation is not one of them, which I find odd.

UPDATE 2: After my update above, it worked for a little while and started having trouble again. It's now completely useless. Rosewill was really no help and I will never buy another product from them.

I was a little skeptical about buying this due to the low price (and I had never heard of Rosewill) but all of the ratings were pretty decent so I went for it figuring I could always return it. Skepticism gone. This is a great product at a great price. One of the nice features is that you can use the button that it comes with (on my desk for my wife that doesn't like hitting Scroll Lock twice and then Enter) or use the hot keys. The cables could have been a little longer but that is minor (just something I would have liked). It works great for switching between my work docking station and my home PC. It is so nice not having to have a laptop on my desk when I do work and actually being able to switch between the two. It is very sturdy yet small. Very happy with it. No problems with video. I don't use it for sound because I have surround coming out of my home PC and I don't care about hearing sound when working on my work laptop. The only video issue I have once in a while is when I switch from my laptop back to my PC my monitor does not sync correctly and I have to turn my monitor off and on. I am sure this is my monitor since I am using a Norcent 32" LCD TV for my monitor which isn't very fast and the fact that turning it off and on fixes it shows that it is an issue with my monitor rather than the KVM switch. This is a great by and an excellent bargain if you just need a KVM that switches between 2 PCs with a nice clean DVI signal.

I've been using this for a couple of months, and am pleased. I like the remote switch button, especially since I find keyboard shortcuts inconvenient and don't have a conventional middle mouse button to double-click.

It's been working great over the past few months, but recently it seemed that nothing was working properly in the mouse USB port. After a few days of head-scratching and off-and-on troubleshooting, I got around to looking at the KVM and its online manual. Turns out I just needed to turn the "mouse emulation" either on or off, via a Scroll Lock (2x) + m + Enter key combo, and now things are working great. I actually had to do it once for each computer (the mouse wouldn't work on the Mac until I had done it the second time while the keyboard was connected through the KVM to the Mac), and I don't know whether that's normally necessary or whether I somehow had it in a strange state that just required some internal resetting or something. Regardless, everything's working great, and it even turns out that there's a keyboard for switching everything but the audio focus, so I can play music on one computer while switching back and forth between the two for work.

Since everything seems to be working OK, and since there were additional features that make me even happier with the device, it's getting 5 stars from me. I hope it continues to work well!

I ordered this product from Amazon and it was fulfilled by Rosewill the manufacturer itself. The product arrived very fast (about 4 days ahead of schedule), and it works out of box without problem. The only minor issue is that the DVI cables are somewhat short; without using additional cables, I had to put the switch box at a relatively awkward position; fortunately, the switch also comes with a port selector, which is connected to the switch with a long cable, so it's still convenient to switch. I guess it's a good compromise to offer relatively short DVI cables but a long port selector cable to allow for a low price. Also, note that although the switch does not require external power, it is actually powered by the USB ports connected to it. If for some reason you don't connect at least one USB port, it won't switch.
