My best friend and I have adopted this book as "our book." We read it when we miss each other and it brings back all the memories of a great childhood friendship. This is a book that shouldn't be passed over. This is truly one of my favorites and is perfect for any occasion!

As a college student, my professor introduced me to this wonderful author and book. This is a exciting book to give away to the best of friends! It is a story of a most true friendship that people of all backgrounds can relate to. Rosie and Michael take us through the rollercoasters of young friendship and allow us to reminisce as well as find gratitude for all true companions.

An almost unknown, and thoroughly underappreciated, classic of children's books, which seems to scream out "Buy me for your significant other!" Curiously, it's a little graphic in some of the descriptions - buy the book and you'll probably understand what I mean - but that only makes it all the more charming. Highly recommended.

This is such a funny and uplifting book. Gave it to my best friend (and neither of us are kids, (except at heart)and we were having a great time reading it together.

An old sweet book of best friends. It is absolutely so cute and sweet and a very great 'love' story. If you like old children's books you will love this one.

Rosie and Michael is a delightful picture book. I have used this for many years as a read aloud for my 4th grade class for character traits, compare and contrast, and lessons about friendships. The detailed illustrations catch the interest of children, lead to wonderful observations and predictions. I have a mainstreamed class and Rosie and Michael has something to offer to everyone no matter what level or cognitive ability. The class discussions and writing activities are open ended and can be tailored to any age group.

Heart-warming & revealing (like many other Viorst's kid-books), this remains touching to read aloud. Nice rhythms, nice flow of kids' candid reciprocal feelings.

The product was delivered in excellent condition and in a timely fashion. It's content is a "read-aloud" book that offers ample opportunity to talk with young listeners about friends and friendships.

One of the best children's books ever.....about friendship and respect. Viorst is amazing..her other books are wonderful too ie A Terrible Horrible no Good Very Bad Day,
The Tenth Good Thing About Barney....but Rosie and Michael I even gift to my adult friends!

my son's name is michael and when he was younger, his best friend's name was rose. they were the real-life rosie and michael. it was wonderful finding this book. we've since moved away, but they both still have their copies and keep in touch.
