I am constantly on the lookout for a well done crafty book, and am usually disappointed with the mundane offerings that are put out all too often. Not so in this case; Rosie O'Donnell has not let me down. Bravo, Rosie! You've offered up well thought-out projects in a clear and professionally presented manner, and didn't hog up all of the pages for yourself (not that I thought she would!)
The projects created by the contributing artists (like Charlotte Lyons)are beautiful and do-able; great for crafters of all levels of expertise.

This is where Rosie truly shines!!! Even though she and I are polar opposites on most things, she is my crafting queen!! Love it Love it Love it!!! Anything that brings kids and parents together is truly amazing. And if its fun, well that's just downright miraculous! ;)

Super fun, and beautifully made book. PERFECT gift for Teachers, Girl Scout Leaders, daycares, and after school programs. Lots for all ages. Easy to follow directions, and wonderful pictures. A must have for every mom, craft or not!

This book combines Rosie, family and crafting. How can it get any better than that? I am very impressed with the fun things it has to offer and the simplistic way they are presented. It will be great to have around to cure summer boredom. I would recommend this book even if you are not a Rosie fan. It is one of the best kids craft books I have ever seen.

I really like this book. From it I've been inspired to do the tie dye and the Royal (Icing) Sand Castle. Note to anyone trying the castle, be careful of your icing. I used Betty Crocker's Rich and Creamy and it was too soft, it didn't stick well. For the tie dye I did buy a kit and didn't follow Rosie's instructions, I stuck with the one's in the kit, which made the project a little longer. But it was helpful to see what the t-shirts looked like according to how you tied them. The pictures in the book are great. They really show you what the finished product will look like. I do think making the crafts are a little expensive. I'm starting from scratch so I basically have to buy everything for each project. I don't watch Rosie's show. I just chanced upon the book while browsing on Amazon and bought it because of the great reviews.

I bought this book for me and my daughter.I'm not a big Rosie fan but after getting the book I am a huge fan of her book CRAFTY U.I think anyone with children,grandkids,nieces or nephews should buy this and I promise you won't be dissappointed.

A great reference book for this craft challenged Mom. A treasure of projects to keep us all busy this summer. Thanks RO!

As a nanny and a future teacher, I've been looking for a book that has a lot of various craft ideas with simple instructions and that can be for kids of all ages. This book provides exactly just that! I especially like how the crafts are for certain seasons and for different situations like "rainy days" and "everyday". The introduction contains a lot of specifics like how to organize your craft area and what you will need in order to complete all the crafts in the book. I think the best part about this craft book is that each craft has a very detailed picture with it, so you are able to see what you are making! Like I said before, this is excellent for kids from ages 4 and up and the crafts are very cute, some even looking like you bought it from Pier 1. :)
The hard cover and gloss pages also add to Rosie's Crafty-U. I'm excited to start creating the crafts for summer with the kids!

Beautifully done, and well thought out. One suggestion: If the paper was thinner and the book had a spiral binding, it would be much easier for children to handle.

I am just an average mom who does not have one crafty bone in my body!
This book is well written, easy to follow and has great ideas! We spent a rainy afternoon doing craft after craft out of this book and never got bored!
My daughter is a little over 2 years old and typically gets bored after a few minutes. She took delight in seeing her "creations"!
Some of these crafts can be done with things that most of us have on hand too! (Flour and Salt!) No need to go purchase specific items to do a craft!
Simple crafts that can turn into great gifts for family and friends!
