5.0 out of 5 stars Charming and Reassuring!, August 21, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Rosie to the Rescue (Hardcover)
In this charming and reassuring story, Rosie, a little squirrel, is worried her parents won't come home. As she sits and chews peanuts with her babysitter, Aunt Lily, she imagines all sorts of things that could have happened to them. But with each worry ("What if a tiger ate them?"), Rosie also imagines a solution ("I would chase that tiger until he let them free!") And of course, in the end, Rosie's parents do come home, "right on time." Delightful artwork colorfully depicts Rosie's fantasies and the warm and cozy, hug-filled ending. A gentle, amusing, satisfying approach to the universal fear of separation from parents.
