5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!
This item arrived quickly, and as described. The mixing glass is quite substantial, very sturdy, with easy to read measuring amounts up one side. It takes some practice transitioning from a cocktail shaker, but is easy to use, and much better...no sticking together of parts! 1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money
Don't waste your money. Get a cheap Boston shaker and use a pint glass like the bars do. The Rosle glass broke and the metal bent without much force. I've used Boston shakers for years and have always tapped the metal against the bar or counter top to release the glass from the metal, without deforming the metal or breaking the glass. This is pure junk. May 14...

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid piece of equipment, August 29, 2006

The mixing glass is sturdy; the metal cup is stainless steel with an elegant brushed finish. Together the components make a tight seal. This is a big improvement over the small cobbler shaker that I have been using.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money, April 18, 2007

I've owned this shaker for several months it is now the only shaker that I use despite owning some other nice tradional shakers. I've used cheap boston shakers from a restaurant supply place in the past and have had problems with sealing and unsealing and also with rusting. None of those problems with this shaker. It seals easily and securely and I've never struggled to unseal it. Very sturdy too. I plan to buy a second one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect But Do Not Put Glass in Dishwasher, October 30, 2008

This review is from: Rosle Boston Shaker (Kitchen)
I have been terribly pleased with this Boston Shaker. I have three (Persian, Boston, two-piece with built in strainer) shakers and this is my go-to shaker when shaking cocktails. Once you get comfortable setting and unsetting the two pieces together it is a pleasure to use. One warning: the handy (never tested for accuracy) gradations on the glass were washed off when I put it in the dishwasher. I rarely dishwash my barware, but did so with this. The Cascade Complete enzymes or something erased all trace of the markings on the glass. I probably wouldn't have used them too much anyway, but if you plan to use them, handwash only.
Cheers!

5.0 out of 5 stars GLASS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE, April 29, 2009

What can I say, I love this shaker. I have owned it for about one year have always handwashed both pieces. Recently I ran it through the dishwasher and the glass developed a crack through the bottom and partially up the sides in a twist fashion. I brought the shaker to Williams Sonoma where it was purchased and they gladly replaced it without hassle. All of my bar tools including the 3 piece shaker are Rosle. All have worked perfectly and are a great addition to my home bar. Expensive but highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Bar Shaker Today, March 15, 2010

Best of the best. High quality metal shaker. Heavy glass with graduated measuring marks.

This shaker WILL NOT hold your drink hostage. One wonderful afternoon we were perfecting our Margarita Recipe. At the time we had a shaker with a metal top that fit onto a metal cup. After shaking the drink - we found, the metal had contracted and would not "give us" our drink. We tried letting the cup warm slightly, but did not want to wait until our drink was watery. We tried pulling, tugging, towels, and jar openers. We finally had to go into the garage and work on it with the hammer and screwdriver. We finally got into our drink, but vowed to never allow a shaker of adult beverage be orphaned again. We went on our search for a good shaker and found other brands that "look" the same, but the shaker was not as big, or the glass was not as heavy and would break easily. We finally found the Rosle Boston Shaker - we would recommend it first and always to anyone. Don't flip over to the cheaper models - you might end up with orphaned adult beverages or worse adult beverages swimming in broken glass from the cheaper glassware breaking. You can't go wrong with the Rosle Boston Shaker.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best of the best, April 26, 2011

Rosle tins are really the best bar tools for serious bartenders. Although the mixing glass is tempered and strong i don't trust shaking with glass and use another brands cheater tin with the shaker and reserve the glass for stirring only. This is a great value and i recommend it fully.
