right vs left handed?,

This review is from: Rosle Left-Handed Swivel Peeler (Kitchen)
I love this peeler. It's the best I've ever used and will never use anything else again. Well worth the price. One word of warning to those shopping on-line; the left and right handed peelers are designed to peel toward the body. If you are more apt to peel away from your body, get the peeler labeled for the opposite hand. I use a right-handed peeler with my left hand, and I love it.

Best Potato Peeler yet!,
By dysono (El Paso, Tx) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rosle Left-Handed Swivel Peeler (Kitchen)
I am a professional cook by trade. In my day I spend hours bent over a sink, peeling pounds and pounds of potatoes. So many potatoes, my white latex gloves change to a dark brown, well they would if I wasn't required to change them ever so often. But thats not the point. I've used many a different peelers in my time and I must say this is the most efficient, most comfortable, most durable peeler I've used so far. In fact, the reason I'm here is to buy another for a co worker. It's definitely worth the price.

highly functional, a couple of drawbacks.,

This review is from: Rosle Left-Handed Swivel Peeler (Kitchen)
First, the good stuff: this peeler is sharp, requires little effort in peeling away even the toughest skins and seems quite durable. I like having it, but I'm also holding on to my cheap little Oxo peeler for a couple of reasons: first, the Rosle produces very thick peels, which is a bit wasteful. Second, I tend to be a switch hitter in terms of peeling direction and really like having a peeler that can either peel toward me or away from me. The Rosle peels in only one direction and thus sells both a right-handed and left-handed peeler. That said, I do appreciate its sold stainless steel construction, which will resist rust for many more years than lesser models.
