Very nice design, however, when we purchased this item, description touted it was manufactured in Germany. We shall see how well it holds up. Chromium and stainless steele manufactured in China does not hold up very well due to impurities.Products should not be allowed to be advertised in such a manner - Amazon should control this better.

Perfect Opener,

Okay, this is not made in Germany, but it works beautifully, is a work of art (credit for which goes to our German friends), and is well worth the money. For me, part of enjoying a good bottle of beer or wine, is opening it, which means forget twist-off caps. Caps are removed so effortlessly that you remain in total control of the process with practically no chance of tipping the bottle. I have not found a better tool for removing the cap from a bottle of beer.

I know it seems silly, but it wasn't until this disappeared that I realized how much easier to use this is compared to others. I've owned 4-5 since losing this one, and I gave up and just ordered another one. I look forward to having it back. Having lived without it for several years, it goes without saying that the old one will turn up now.
