5.0 out of 5 stars Get your stuff off the counters!
Clearly the previous reviewer didn't understand that this is a RACK SYSTEM. I gutted my kitchen to the studs and completely renovated it. I'm a trained chef, and one of the things I hated in my Suzy-homemaker kitchen was all the stuff hiding in drawers or cabinets. Yah, storage is necessary, but I like to have stuff available, so I hang as much as possible for use and...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not made for American spice jars
We recently purchased a set of Rösle racks from another on-line retailer.

Yah, storage is necessary, but I like to have stuff available, so I hang as much as possible for use and drying purposes - pots, lids, utensils, and now everything else. This particular system by Rosle is on the entire backsplash of my kitchen and it's gorgeous. First, it's all stainless steel, down to the mounting hardware. Secondly, the stuff at Home Depot doesn't even come close to quality or finish (it's chromed metal and NOT stainless). Finally, everything in this system hangs anywhere along the rail. I have virtually everything in this product line, including the stainless clock and cookbook holder. You have to see the foil cutter to understand how brilliantly the cutting blades are engineered for single hand ripping of foil, wax paper and cling wrap. Yes, there are less expensive rail systems out there, but none of them approaches the thoughtfulness, breadth of options, and product quality of the Rosle. Spent a fortune on your new kitchen and want a rail system? Then don't cheap out and install something that will rust or has a limited product line. Don't want to punch holes in your backsplash to mount the rails? The entire system can also be suspended from underneath your wall cabinets. Because I have under cabinet task lighting, mounting it on the entire backsplash was my first choice. Oh, and on the cook wall? I mounted double rows of rails to put my cooking utensils within reach. The 47" rails span the entire cooking backsplash. You can download the entire product catalogue from www.rosleusa.com to view all the options.

We recently purchased a set of Rösle racks from another on-line retailer.

That web site did not offer the double spice rack, and now I think I know why. We ordered the spice rack from Amazon.com, and when it arrived, our first impression was that it was beautiful, and solidly made. Unfortunately, when we tried to test it out with spice jars from our cupboard, none of them fit on the bottom shelf of the rack. We tried the shortest jars in our cupboard, and only the half-height sampler jars fit. The top shelf holds only 7 jars. Because of the very poor capacity of the rack, we will be returning it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rosle Double Spice Rack, August 3, 2011
This review is from: Rosle Spice Rack/Double Rack (Kitchen)
I recently purchased the Rosle Spice Rack/Double Rack and am very pleased with my new acquisition. I was pleasantly suprised to receive old boxed stock labeled made in Germany and am impressed with its solid construction, as it should be at its price.
A couple reviews reported a problem with jar size but I've found that the 2" wide mouth jars available from Penzy's are the perfect size.
It's unfortunate that there's an ingenuity vacuum in Rosle's management and that they've been unable to keep the manufacture of their products in Germany. If they had a fraction of the imagination that created the line I don't believe that would be a problem!

1.0 out of 5 stars Rediculous., August 7, 2007
This review is from: Rosle Spice Rack/Double Rack (Kitchen)
Why is this so expensive??? This EXACT product is at Home Depot for $29.99. I bought this and it turns out that you need to buy the mounting rod for an extra $10 dollars to even be able to install this thing.

Pass this one over, especially at this price.
