You don't have to speak Italian - Ferro is Fantastico, August 28, 2002
Man, this guy puts Eros on hold. I haven't heard a European pop singer/writer/producer this exciting since the days of early Claudio Baglioni and Mango. Blending R&B, hip-hop and Carribean rhythms, Ferro delivers an almost non-stop parade of solid, passionate pop songs. True, the English entries aren't as strong as the Italian, but they're not fodder, either. "Imbranado" is one of the most searing, sexy things I've heard in ages. I even put this one on for a room full of rowdy Southern rednecks and they were tapping and grooving. That's how well-conceived and universal this great CD sounds. Thrilled I discovered this talented guy. Besides, I'd kind of tired of Mango, Rammazzotti and Baglioni from years of over exposure, and I needed a voice of the mellinium. Tiziano's a darn good start!

XVERSO - TZN's New Single is out!, October 5, 2003
TZN deserves 5 stars simply because he made the Italian music scene breathe some fresh air!! He succeeded where others failed miserably - singing modern R&B "Made in Italy". He wrote all his songs and, being only 23 years old, I think that's quite an achievement! I guess the reason behind his international success is the fact that, even though he's Italian, his music sounds like it could come from anywhere in the world. Of course, if you understand the lyrics, it's a great advantage as he's quite a modern day poet! Btw... his new single is out now!!! It's called "Xverso" (perverted). It's on top of all Italian charts at the moment. Maybe not as catchy as Xdono but still a very good song... and very much his style. Xverso is the first single of his next album which will be released worldwide on November 7 called "Centoundici" (111) If u want more information about it, this website seemed quite helpful to me: http://digilander.libero.it/respectTZNFERRO/ PS: It seems that TZN is quite popular in my part of the world! : )

Tiziano, un ragazzo innamorato perso -- e che bello essere innamorato!, December 10, 2005
This review is from: Rosso Relativo (Audio CD)
Tiziano is very entertaining. As I've remarked of other Italian pop artists I've reviewed, the music is accessible and good for the study of Italian, i.e. for listening comprehension, as the vocal style is generally very clear. And amusing. My musical taste is eclectic, but I generally love the best of any genre (e.g. Jimi Hendrix is an all-time favorite). Ferro is very talented, but on at least one song (I believe on this album) the tune is reminiscent of Britney Spears (Uffa!) and yet is nonetheless enjoyable. My favorite songs on this album are "Imbranato" (Loser; the Spanish-language version is the theme song for a popular soap opera), and "Boom boom" with it's very simple, yet very rousing English-language chorus (all songs here are sung primarily in Italian). I think even the cynical will be charmed. The only song I don't really care for is the gospel-style "Soul-dier" (i.e. soldier of the soul -- tee hee). I think it's sometimes beneficial to express some reservations in amazon "reviews" -- effusive praise always invites skepticism. Truth be told, I am insanely envious of anyone who can sing, 'cuz I sound like a camel clearing its throat. Tiziano is a gifted singer-songwriter, and I believe he'll improve with each release. If your musical tastes include mainstream pop, take a risk and purchase a CD by this talented young recording artist. It's not as if I'm an expert on Roman genealogy -- but when I look at Tiziano's cover photo on "Centoundici" I feel that I'm seeing a face that reaches back millennia, and it amuses me to think of his musical style in contrast to that of what his ancestors might have enjoyed.
Tiziano's latest CD, NESSUNO E' SOLO, was released in 2006 and is his best to date.
