This review is from: Rostropovich: The Russian Years (Audio CD)

Nobody in what concerns the Russian repertoire for cello, has been capable to match with Rostropovich. He had not only the unerring technique, but besides he was owner of that special Caucasian style, wild and rough absolutely necessary ion those performances.

For those cello' s lovers this album is an absolute must in all the meaning of the expression. So, don't hesitate for a second and go for this extraordinary compilation,. The edition sound is outstanding, and the quality level is formidable.

A must-have.
