I bought this to let my Cavalry OSUT Troops have a horn to tute in the fine traditions of the Cav. It looks great and the tone is dead on EXCEPT. If you are a bugler or play any horn, this bugle's note progression is 1,5,8 not 1,3,5,8. Meaning I can play C, G. amd C while I should be able to hit the E between. I had another bugle player try and he could not either.

A beatiful little horn and a fine wall hanger but not good for most bugle calls.

bugle has wrong pitch. Do not buy this for your son if he wants to be the scout troop bugler

The bugle is certainly functional, with a good finish. It was however, a little bit crooked, like it had been made hastily or bent after being made. Doesn't affect the playing, but not the most pleasing appearance.

This is a great instrument that I qualify as value for money. The tone is great.

My music teacher husband could not play this, as hard as he tried. Certainly not an "instrument" I would not wish to give my musical grandson. Maybe I will decorate a Christmas wreath with it.

Being in the market for a bugle is interesting. There are no markings on it at all, is good quality brass, with a removable mouthpiece, the mouthpiece is a little small for adults. It would be perfect for a boy scout. It hits all the notes I have tried, but might need a bigger mouth piece to fit my adult sized face. It is a genuine rothco, and from there own site it shouldd cost over 60 bucks. So a good deal on here, and would get it for any scout troop to practice with. A serious bugle player might be disappointed with it, but for me, its great!

Awesome Bugle!

Shipped from Army Universe extremely promptly. Instrument is made of solid brass. Tone is great. Was able to do all notes the first day of trying (first time horn player). Totally worth what you pay.

The Bugle was delivered promptly and the quality is good. As an old Cavalry troop it will be displayed on the mantel with my Sabre. Good value for the price.
