This is a cool bag, but be don't make the mistake I made in thinking this is a backpack. It is not. This bag is barely bigger than an average sized shower kit. I returned it (for exchange to a real military backpack) for this reason only. I would have kept it if it had been double the actual size.

I was unsure about size from reading other reviews here, but a video on the manufacturer's site made me pull the trigger. Glad I did. This is a really excellent pack, well built and sturdy. At under $50, it's much nicer than packs I've owned from North Face that sell for much more.

Granted, this pack is not intended for multi-day use. It's a day pack; but I was able to easily carry a 13" MacBook Pro; a Nikon D300s with a moderate zoom attached, plus a heavy jacket, water bottles, wallet, iPhone, keys, plus cables and chargers, and still had some room left over. Could also be used as an overnight pack if you travel light.

At the back of the pack there's a sleeve for a hydration bladder, but I'm using this most secure spot for iPad. Can see it being an awesome stash spot for passports and other personal documents, wallet, etc. when traveling.

All in all, a great deal.

This pack was described by another reviewer as just larger than a standard shower/toiletry bag and I have to agree, but that does not mean that it is not the best thing you can get for the money! The pack is sturdy, small, and fits into overhead bins with ease, making it an awesome carry-on or quick overnight bag. I use mine as a 24-hour B.O.B. (Bug Out Bag) and keep it in the trunk of my car in case of emergency. With the MOLLE system straps and light-weight, it makes an excellent choice for people of all sizes and shapes.

This really is a hard review to write. I've never given a 1 before.

For the most part this bag is perfect. The mesh pocket in the main compartment fits an ipad perfectly. The design is really flawless, the materials are even top notch, but the construction is awful.

The inner pockets are created by sewing three sides of a piece of cloth to the inside of the compartment, leaving the 4th side open and attaching a thick piece of cloth to protect the pocket cloth. Pretty normal, except the thick strip comes apart from the thin cloth. The stitching just isn't enough to keep it together.

Same deal with the one of the big seams on top of the pack on the main compartment.

I really love the bag but if anything literally falls apart after 1.5 months, it's basically garbage.

i bought this backpack for my boyfriend as a birthday gift. i was very very disappointed when i found out that the inside lining had already been ripped off.

The US military designed the MOLLE system and it rules. (MOLLE = Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment)

Love this versatile pack. Has a cozy spot to separate my laptop and iPad from other ancillaries I carry daily. Has great wealth of pockets and pouches, etc. This thing commutes daily with me and is my preferred pack for everywhere else. It's been to Disneyland and to Snowshoeing in Tahoe, with perfect straps to hold snowshoeing poles.

I love that this pack shrinks down to fit what I'm carrying and can expand to fit my DSLR gear inside. Or, if the interior is full, I just attach my gear to the outside of the pack.

I didn't like the shoulder strap it came with, so I added my own. When this thing wears out I will be getting another one.

This backpack is perfect. I was expecting it to be much smaller after reading the reviews. When I got it it was exactly what it should have been, a medium backpack. The padding is excellent, it is very adjustable and the construction is high quality. Thinking about getting another one.

Exactly the product I expected. Like the inner mesh pocket where my iPad fits perfectly. Don't like the string loops on the zippers that come apart easily.

for something labled "medium" its pretty big, carries pretty much all my books, my lunch, even some "bug out" survival materials. Good everyday bag.

Bag has several pockets and places to put odds and ends. About the size of a school back pack but each pocket expands so you can hold slot. My favorite part are the straps on the back and on top of the bag. Once you have your stuff inside you can cinch it down. Good bag sturdy material and water proof. Bag is everything I expected.
