In this kit, you get the tool as well as the Zipmate and the circle cutter, which will get you started exploring everything this tool can do. Basically, the RotoZip is a rotary cutting tool, but with a wide range of bits and attachments, you can slice through just about any material up to an inch thick. The Zipmate thats included here is a right-angle attachment that lets you use wheels instead of bits for an enormous range of materials, everything from concrete and brick to steel, iron, slate, and ceramic floor tile. The handle is great for additional control, but in most applications, the RotoZip is easy to use with just one hand around the tool body, too.
Because of the keyless collet system, bit change is tool-free, but adjusting the depth does require using a wrench.
Variable speed is trigger-controlled, with a range of 15,000 to 30,000 rpm, making this a favorite tool among electricians, plumbers, carpenters, tile installers and of course, the do-it-yourselfer. If youre upgrading from an earlier version, youll love this and if this will be your first RotoZip, be prepared

Great Bosch Rotozip Kit!!!,
By RJ (MN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: RotoZip RZ20-4000 Variable Speed Spiral Saw Kit with Zipmate, Circle Cutting Attachment, and Jig Saw Handle (Tools & Home Improvement)
I bought this kit to cut granite tile for a bathroom counter top. The diamond saw worked great for cutting the opening for my drop in sink. I found the jigsaw handle attachment worked great for cutting the hole in the plywood top. I like the fact it doesn't have any vibration as a regular sabre saw would have which could loosen up the tile. I also did sheet rock cutouts for the outlets and light fixture. Bosch did a great job of improving the Rotozip product. The kit is extensive and a pretty nice tool bag too. I plan to buy other attachments for this kit. I'm extremely pleased with a real world test for my bathroom. I gave away my old, very used rotozip and love this kit! A+++!

So I used to have a dremel kit that for the last 3 years I have been beating on but it held up pretty well and did what I needed. To upgrad I needed variable speed, led light is a plus, and the circle cutter is a given. I use this tool mostly for cuting out sheet rock openings for electrical ie: boxes, can lighting, ect..and it does that job just perfect as it should. The surprise is in the way it handles the harder tasks of cutting out the same holes in 3/4 pine for ceiling cans, or a 4inch hole for a bath vent or dryer vent...right through the siding, plywood, and sheetrock. I just pilot hole to get an inner and outer center and away she goes. This unit is just the right size, power and versatility. Heck I use the thing for sink cut outs in the counter and even used the metal cutting wheel for cutting drop ceiling grids. Uses are endless...a great shop, home, even road tool. (I used it with a small inverter running of my trucks 12v power to cut off an muffler that decided to hang up on a stump the other day) Yup she is that handy.

RotoZip RZ20,
This review is from: RotoZip RZ20-4000 Variable Speed Spiral Saw Kit with Zipmate, Circle Cutting Attachment, and Jig Saw Handle (Tools & Home Improvement)
I had my 1st chance to use the saw yesterday. I was working on a job that normally required a wood chisel. The RotZip was a great time-saver. It cut through the wood with ease. I would definetly recommend the model with the light. The only negative is that the saw is produces a loud screeching noise at times. Hearing protection might be a good idea for large jobs. This tool is a very helpful addition for woodworkers.RCG
