Product Description

Rotor's corporate mission is to develop a variety of technologies to help cyclists. In recent years our Company developed Rotor System Cranks, which became the definitive solution to the dead spot. Now Rotor's new challenge is again to succeed where many other failed before, by introducing ovalized (elliptical) chainrings with variable regulation points that can be customized for each rider's needs. Q-Rings offer some of the benefits of Rotor Cranks while enabling cyclists to use their current cranks. Q-Rings also offer a somewhat comparable solution to the inefficiency of the dead-spot, at a lower cost and reduced weight, over the Rotor System Cranks. The dead-spot limits the cyclist's performance; sometimes causes tendonitis and injuries to the knee, as well as a short loss of traction while cycling off-road. Q-Rings provide a helpful solution to minimize this inefficiency, by definitively reducing the dead-spot, which is typical in conventional pedaling. Rotor Q-Rings minimize the dead spots like reducing the size of a regular chainring, and give you more time during the pedal down stroke. This allows for a lower physical demand on your body, so you are able to ride longer with less fatigue, climb easier... The Rotor Q-Ring is different from other ovalized chainrings, both present and past; a new concept incorporating a patented variable regulation system (OCP) that applies some of the biomechanics of the Rotor Crank System to conventional cranks. FEATURES AND BENEFITS: - OCP (Optimum Chainring Position), a Rotor patented feature is the secret to success, where others have failed. The OCP system allows you to choose the angle where you obtain the maximum gear ratio, customizing pedaling to each and every cyclist, where it is needed most. Since the maximum power moment is different for every cyclist (performance is different depending on pedaling style and position on the bike), the OCP System customizes the Rotor

This review is from: ROTOR Q-RINGS ELLIPTICAL CHAINRINGS (Misc.)
I hope this can solve your doubt if you have Ultegra Chainring Set. I read about its review and decide to purchase it. I have not test the product as I just install on Colnago CLX with Ultegra Set. I think the review you search on the internet can speak for itself ( [...] ). The chainring I bought was the BCD 130 53/39 Chainring sets (The 53/39 is not specific in the product description which I find it is important). You need to also purchase a chainring bolt set (5 pairs) of size M8X0.75mmX8.5mm ( tested it can be used) or you can try Shimano Ultegra FC-6601G Double Chain Ring Bolt set/10 or Shimano DuraAce-7800 5-arm CR-bolt set, M8x9.1-sil which I think can be suitable as it is only 1.1 mm longer. The chainrings set was suitable for the Ultegra crank arm. After I installed, the gear shift was as good. Hope this clear your doubt if you have Ultegra chainring set.
