I bought this book because I've owned Rottweilers in the past and plan on getting another one soon. So I read this book as a quick reminder. It's a nice introduction to the breed and highly readable, but still, one should research the breed a bit more than just this simple book.

I bought this book for my daughter because she asked me if I would get her a dog this summer and this is the one she wants. I wanted her to be educated about the breed before I got her a Rottie and I needed to find a book that could explain the major topics (history, temperment, training, and caring for) in a way she would understand. This book definitely accomplishes that and keeps her attention with all of the beautiful color photos. She's re-read the book 3 times now and can practically recite it! Guess it's off to the breeder soon...
