More About the Author

I'm a Southern Outlaw Author, I've had three books published. One was called "Sex, Dead Dogs, and Me: The Juliette Journals," the next was called "Rough As A Cob: More From the Juliette Journals." A story of mine, "Sally the Screamer," appeared in the Southern humor anthology, "Southern Fried Farce." I wrote a column called "Free Wheelin'" for several years and have spoken to groups all over the southeast. My first novel came out just a bit over a year ago, a Christmas story entitled, "ChristmaSin': A Juliette Christmas Epistle." Finally, "Sex, Dead Dogs, and Me" has just been re-released as a Kindle book. I guess I'm kinda like the Forrest Gump of Literature.

5.0 out of 5 stars Someone for us Georgia Tech fans!, September 5, 2003
I loved Lewis Grizzard, but he was a UGA fan and gave us Tech people a hard time sometimes. Now, with Ed Williams, we have a modern Georgia humorist who is an unabashed Tech fan. If you haven't read "Rough As A Cob," and you love Georgia Tech, you owe it to yourselves to do so, especially the part where Ed lays out the truth behind the Tech/Georgia rivalry.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Loved Rough as a Cob, June 29, 2003

"Rough as a Cob" is a necessary read for anyone that grew up in the rural South during the 60's and 70's. If you want to sit down and enjoy several hours of "memory lane", this is the book for you! It is a continuation of extremely funny stories that were recorded by the author in his previous book. If you did happen to experience life during this era, this book sums it up to the fullest. Mr. Williams is a wonderful story-teller and he makes you feel like you are right there experiencing exactly what was going on at that moment. If you happen to have been blessed with the "accent" and culture of the "South", and have a sense of humor, no less, you must read this book! It is so entertaining that once you start, you cannot put it down until you have read every last word. It is pure reading pleasure; however, it also gives you history of how "we" grew up during that time. I reccommend this book to anyone that feels like I do that laughing will keep you happy and enable you to live a much healthier life. LAUGHING ROCKS!! Thanks Mr. Williams for this newest dose of medicine!!!

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Rough As a Cob: More from the Juliette Journals (Paperback)
I bought this book as a gift for a dear friend. I had heard that it was good. I scanned through it a bit before I gave it away, but I can see that I will have to get it back so I can give it a proper read. The few bits I saw told me this would be as funny as I had heard, and I will likely buy the other two as well. I will try to update this after I have read it for myself, but at first blush... it will be well worth the price.

I also wanted to be sure to give KUDO's to Seashellbooks Inc. whom I bought this book from (Via AMAZON.com) They took real care to ensure the book arrived as advertized! that is to say it arrived in perfect condition, in less time than I expected.

I also give Amazon credit in the fast hassle free checkout and easy to navigate web pages that brought this book to my attention, well done Amazon.

I am very happy with the deal in all respects, and would enjoy doing buisnes in the future with all parties involved.
