I enjoyed this book and I think the way it was organized by location was very interesting and added a lot of local flavor to the development of rock music. Being able to check out important cities and their impact on music history was great.

Looks really good, but...,

I spent a long time flipping through this at a bookstore, and it looks great for what it is. But I have to dock it a star for the lack of coverage of my hometown of St. Louis, a key city in the development of jazz, blues, soul, and country, and still a great place to see acts playing any of those styles. I also agree with the other poster that Boston should be included. I hope the next edition will correct these oversights.

This is fine, but how come there is no chapter on Boston?
