Each of the main chapters has step-by-step, practical advice for all situations, in all environments, from surviving an avalanche or navigating in the desert to coping with an ambush or a hostage situation. From page 98:

FINDING FOOD - INSECTS Bugs don’t look nice to eat, but they’re a survivalist’s most reliable energy source (insects are 65-80 percent protein, compared to the 20 percent in beef). There are 1462 recorded species of edible insects; when choosing, avoid caterpillars and spiders as well as all insects that are hariy, brightly colored or have a pungent odor.

This review is from: The Rough Guide to Travel Survival 1 (Rough Guide Reference) (Paperback)
After looking the book over concisly, I found not only nothing new here, but most of the info is common sense. You would be better off buying a better book such as "wilderness 911" by Eric A. Weiss M.D. or anything of that caliber. Also Cody Lundin's books are good.
