I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
The story is a romance with a tiny bit of a mistery in the plot but mistery is definitely not the important part of the story. The beginning is slow but not bad.
H and h had had a relationship when they were teens that ended abruptly and badly. Now ten years later they end together at the place where all began when the father's H dies in an accident.
What I didn't like:
- this book needs proofreading, there are a number of errors that are really distracting, from sentence structure, typos to misplaced words.
- when finally the action begins, the way the things are presented are not interesting. Fr exemple, it would have been nice to explain the process of the research done to find evidence by the h. Instead all was presented as a fait accompli.
- the characters where not fully developed and sometimes the dialogues were a bit artificial.
Maybe if a good editor were to be given this book, something could come out of it.

I definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance with a little mystery. I was intrigued and couldn't put the book down - great character development and realistic tension between the main characters. My only suggestion would be to have it proofread again; some of the errors were quite distracting (e.g. the word "from" was substituted for "him", sentence structure was a bit confusing at times). All in all, I enjoyed the story and will read books by this author again.

I'm not really sure what it is I like so much about Andrea Stein's books. Rough Harbor might be my least favorite of the three books I have read, but I still enjoyed it. It is more about what is happening at work and what happened in the past and such rather than the love story. The love story is there for sure, but there are other main story lines. Sometimes I wasn't quite sure what was happening, but it all works out.

Caitlyn left London after a bad break up with a guy who is controlling and obsessed with her. She works for Noah's dad, Maxwell, hoping to one day buy the company from him. After all it was her great grandfather who started it.

Noah comes back to Queensbay after the death of his father. Right away he finds Caitlyn in his fathers office searching for something. They dated 10 years ago, and it is obvious they both still care about the other. Of course they have a lot of things to work out before they can get together, but Noah is not giving up this time. Caitlyn is the gun shy one, the one who doesn't want anyone to know because of her past relationship.

The ex does try to come in and break them up, and get Caitlyn back. After all he is super controlling and doesn't like the fact that she didn't stay with him. That and the odd things happening at the company...lots of things to figure out. Of course it all works out, and it was a fun read.

This is a charming story of coming home. Caitlyn Montgomery was smart enough to leave London when she found her controlling fiancee in bed with her friend. She was offered a position at the brokerage firm her father and his, now deceased, friend Maxwell Randall founded. She did not need to work thanks to her wise business investments. She was sure this company would be her legacy. The only other candidates were the slimey #2 man, Sam Harris and Maxwell's son, and her first love, Noah Randall who was a software mogul in silicon valley. She was sure he had no interest in his father's company since he had not spoken to him in ten years. But at the company meeting she was surprised to see him introduced as the new President of Queensbay Capital Group.

The attraction between Caitlyn and Noah was immediate and he did not try to hide his interest in her. She did her best to keep him at arm's length but there was no way to hide her feelings...feelings she had repressed for ten years after she told him "NO" and he called her "a tease". But Sam Harris has other plans to put this successful new accounts associate in her place, either play his way or leave. But Caitlyn became suspicious when her accounts began to show deficits and with the help of an old family friend, she gathered information to save the company, while Noah fought her ex fiancee who would not let go. Yes, you can go home again!

The overall story is ok but some points are predictable. You know too well that the love story between Caitlyn and Noah will end up in HEA. The things that you will watch out for are the twists that will come in the story to try and break things out between the lovebirds.

Both the characters are conflicting some times. Their emotions abruptly changed in a single page. Sometime you will have to back track and re-read to make sure you got it right. Noah at times appears indecisive and relied too much on Chase to make up his mind towards Caitlyn. I hoped the story had a twist where Caitlyn ended up with Chase instead. He seemed to know Caitlyn more than Noah does. It was a good thing at the end though when he finally realized that he loves Caitlyn that much that he doesn't need anybody else's opinion to make up his mind.

I only recommend this book to those who are looking for an easy read and not much of drama, because there really is no drama if you come to think of it.
