Catherine stepped between them. Whatever Janet might still feel towards her, Catherine realized she would not have come to Seal Rock in a police helicopter to express it. This had to be official business. Catherine toyed with a strand of hair, her fingers automatically working it into a braid. She noticed what she was doing and stopped. She knew it reflected her fear.

"Nic Cavanaugh, this is Janet Schilling," she said briskly, then turned slightly, away from Nic, and continued, "Jnaet what is it? Why are you here?"

"I need to talk to you."

"Yes," she snapped, exasperated, "so you said. So get on with it."

Janet moved a step closer to Catherine. "The Valkyrie's been found."

"What?" Catherine exclaimed. "The Valkyrie? How? Where? When?" She felt stunned, the blood draining from her face. To find the boat, after all these years...........

"Rough Justice" crossed legal, biological, and marine life all into one novel. I loved the mystery between the characters and their development throughout the book. I wished she wouldn't have made her characters so timid, aloof. The lighthouse and island were a fantastic setting. I enjoyed it for it many professional facets.
