This review is from: Rough Stuff (Hardcover)
The Three Investigators emerge from their wrecked Cessna airplane only to find themselves in a wilderness of mystery. Who is the mysterious figure that disappears into the trees when discovered? Who are the armed men trying to kill them? Why do the The Turock Indians seem so standoffish and sickly? The Three Investigators are familar with question marks...they have three of them on their business card! The Turocks have constantly reddened eyes, in addition to being sick, but it is not because of Jupe's eating. ROUGH STUFF was one of the last adventures in the long running Three Investigators series. ROUGH STUFF was written by G.H. Stone who was one of many authors who contributed to the long running saga of the three young detectives. ROUGH STUFF has an edgy New Age aspect with shamans and vision quests dotting the tale like a stubborn garden fungus. A skull with a bullet hole is evidence of the deadly skulduggery that makes this adventure somewhat more violent than the earlier ones... so parents beware. |
