This thing is awesome! I use this for stripping concrete forms on bridge construction. It is indestructable. After bending other 48 inch crow bars I bought at home Depot, I bought one of these. It is a truely professional bar.

This isn't 1 inch round stock steel DeWalt, bent in a hook then stamped on the end cheep. This is cold rolled steel formed by monster machines, then hardened to form the strongest pry bar ever, very good quality steel from the start.

I have a smaller one that has been around for 3 years, and barely has any rust, that is a sign of very good steel, low rust characteristic.

You get what you pay for in this item, a DeWalt bar may be half the price, but it is half the quality.

Made in Taiwan,,,, not China.

Northern Tool may be slow in shipping, but that just is what it is.

A good crow bar is an essential demo tool, but as a framer I find myself learning to use a pry bar more and more for things I used to use a jack for, like lifting saggy ceilings or pushing posts under beams or "negotiating" large framing members. A lever: so simple yet affective. With a brain and some blocks and this bar you can do a lot of work in less time it would take you to go get your jack and set it in place.

Besides being a lot of leverage, the best feature of this bar is the slightly greater than 90 degree bend at the goose-neck. It means I can hammer the goose-neck end under the the corner of a 3000 pound shed, lift the corner, and kick a concrete block under it or something like that. You can't do that with a normal crow bar with a 70 or 80 degree bend at the end because the straight end of the bar would be running into the wall of the structure.

40 bucks for a tool that can lift tiny house. Not bad.
