Book Description

February 1, 2004
Roulette is a percentage game, and winning occasionally is simple. The aim is to win consistently. After watching, listening, and playing all over the world, Brett Morton distilled a wealth of information—and began to understand why he had been losing so often. Each spin of the wheel is a new and usually random event. Every spin is a fight against the casino’s advantages. It was a challenge to debunk the theorists, especially those who had never played. His research and hard work proved he was right—winning consistently is possible. Morton explains the methods to use, rates many of the well-known systems, but above all brings a clear and refreshing vision to this exciting game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely one of the better books to read on roulette., July 12, 2006
This review is from: Roulette: Playing to Win (Paperback)
I play roulette alot and of course I have read a lot of books on roulette. Some of the books were good and some of the books were not so good. This book takes you inside the casino and let's you know what it is like. The book covers the subject of how to read the dealer. The book also rates many of the common systems that are out there. Also covered are systems for playing the outside edge bets. The book is selling for $14.00 on Amazon and I believe you will easily make that back by employing many of the strategies that covered in this book into you roulette game.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, March 19, 2008

Not as good as I was expecting. Lots of I saw this happened here or I saw that happened there. Book could have been half the size with the same amount of info.

2.0 out of 5 stars Rehash, August 19, 2008
This review is from: Roulette: Playing to Win (Paperback)
This book has just a lot of anecdotes and information that can be found in other books and covered in more detail. If you're looking for inspiration then some of the stories are kind of fun, but for me this book is just one step beyond fiction. The author claims to have repeatedly turned a 1000 chip stake into 4000. He also claims to have not gone more than 100 chips into the hole except for three times where he had to stake 200. This is all done using money management and a regressive system that is a variation of the `Up and Pull' system which can be found in John Patrick's book, So you Wanna Be a Gambler! - Advanced Roulette (ISBN 0930911059). Mr. Patrick covers both strategies and money management much more in depth. Additionally, he covers a plethora of other systems in detail. I'm not saying Mr. Morton didn't do what he claims, however I put more faith in other approaches. Overall this book has little substantive valuable information but rather just a lot of stories.
